Resurrection – Different Lens

Resurrection – Different Lens

If God’s withdrawal is typical of His Wrath1 and if the Fall of Man is “God’s withdrawal from Adam, causing man’s ‘spiritual death,’" then it would follow that Redemption, being brought back into the presence of God, is spiritual resurrection. That spiritual resurrection, or redemption, is by its very nature a judgment.

Additionally, if the eternal protocol for sequence of events is that things happen or are created spiritually before physically, then it would hold that spiritual resurrection takes place before your temporal one. (see references below)

It would then hold that if you ascend spiritually to a Terrestrial temporal existence in this life you’d be resurrected to a temporal Terrestrial existence in the next – Yes?  Because that would be a level created spiritually by you before a physical/temporal resurrection.  Created spiritually first, temporally second, that’s the sequence.  It’s just that it applies to you

If you remain at a f’d-up Telestial spiritual existence in this life by ascending spiritually little or none, then you should expect resurrection to a f’d-up temporal existence in the next cycle.

But if you, like the Brother of Jared, are redeemed in this life (RE Ether Chapter 1), a Celestial spiritual ascent experience, then you can have Hope – something far greater, more profound, more strongly felt, more firmly based than just expectancy from vague desire – a Celestial temporal resurrection.

The Israelites were invited by God, via Moses, to be brought back into His presence. That would have been a Celestial spiritual resurrection for them. It would have set up for them a condition that upon death their eventual temporal resurrection would naturally be into the presence of the Lord – another, or second Celestial, resurrection for them.

But no, dumb asses, even though they had been exposed to the light by Moses and invited to participate in the game, they rejected the invitation, setting up for themselves a chance to once again live in metaphorical eons of desert dwelling. Seems like a shitty idea for them.

Seems like a shitty idea for us as well. We have the light available, thanks to a modern Moses, to ascend or resurrect spiritually as much as we choose – even to redemption.

You are always, in a manner of speaking, as long as you live here, in the process of resurrecting spiritually. The degree to which you become spiritually resurrected here will be a mate to the degree of your temporal resurrection and existence later. That’s why there is constant repeated urgency in scriptures to rise up now. This life is the time.

Your choice – eons of desert – or something better? Get that shit done here and now.

Oh yeah, I meant to say this – Right before the parable of the talents in Mathew 11 is the story of the ten virgins who took their lamps and went forth to meet the bridegroom. It’s a story with many different interpretations but among them is the idea that it is a story about light or the absence of light. Immediately following in Matthew is the parable of the talents. If you get a moment re-read that parable but with the idea that ‘talents’ are portions of light. With that in mind, the Lord’s query upon returning to reckon with his servants would have been – what have you done with the light I gave you? – Just a thought.
